Perth Rental Market Update

June 01 – June 10

REIWA members reported there were 4,676 properties for rent in Perth at the end of this week, which is three per cent less than last week.

This week’s rental listings figure is 16 per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and is 38 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

The number of properties leased this week decreased 16 per cent in the Perth Metropolitan area, with REIWA members reporting 803 properties leased. The decline in leasing activity can be attributed to the WA Day holiday last week.

Compared to the same week last year, leasing activity is eight per cent higher, an encouraging improvement.

In contrast, our team at Pulse Property Group have seen an INCREASE in leasing activity with 13 properties leased in the past 10 days and our Vacancy Rate well below 1%, (Perth Metro sits at 2.2%).

We are receiving multiple applications, negotiating rental increases and leasing homes after only 1 viewing!
